About

In January 1997 a fellow co-worker at the time sent an email out to everyone in the office saying her "New Years Resolution was to start reading more and would anyone like to join her and form a reading discussion group.
" So began the WTS Book Club with 13 members. Only 10 of the original 13 are still in attendance. At that time we all worked together but as of today several of us have moved on to other endeavors but relish meetings not only for book discussion but also as a reunion of old friends.

Our membership hoovers between 22-24 these days. Rarely do all the members show up to a meeting but even with 10+ showing up it makes it fun to find a venue to host that many and still be able to hear..  But we do whatever it takes to fit everyone.

Our first meeting was February 20,1997 where we discussed the book "She Came Undone" by Wally Lamb. What a night to begin. It was pouring down ran and the parking was very limited at the venue.

There are no set guide lines on what we read. Each member gets a chance to choose any book of his or her choice. This way we have to read something we might not have read on our own. At least 99% of the time we enjoy the book and glad we read it.
Thanks Jan (Founder) and your 1997 New Year's Resolution

In February 2017 we celebrated 20 years and still reading.
